My name is Mike Spalding and I am a graphic and web designer.

Bio

I am currently employed as a web designer at QVCUK (London), where I am a senior member of the design team. This role involves being responsible for all content produced by the design team for multiple platforms, including web, Sky interactive & print. The role also involves artistic, photographic and creative direction, content and quality functional testing and team training.

Yeti in the Basement

Yeti in the Basement is an up-and-coming Music / Events based blog which previews some of the hottest acts, events and places in and around the capital as well as giving fledgling DJs their support by putting out Mixtapes and exclusive downloads. The site is constantly evolving as their exposure increases and their advertising space becomes more valuable. Being involved with such a project from it’s inception is a real challenge and has an engaging experience

Firstly using Illustrator to create a 2D logo to import into my 3D package, either 3DS Max or Cinema4D. All the modelling, rendering and lighting produced through the 3D package and rendered out for post-processing. Finally, using Photoshop for post-production, artworking and compositing.
